No I think that was closer to £700 wasn't it?
I do recall when we first started talking about a new stadium however and the initial costing was around £250m (mid/late 1990s), but pretty sure we decided to delay due to the high price of steel No doubt one of Parry's better decisions. Not.

One of their fan channels has a bloke on, who is normally quite sensible when it comes to things regarding Everton, but he came out with 'the most important thing is to build our stadium, and show that we're a big club who want to compete'.

I was like, 'da ****?' They still need to show it in terms of the team, and how they behave as a club.
