You have Everton leasing the land originally, then the council buying it and leasing it at a lower level than they already paid

you then also have the supposed involvement of Usmanov (they are the sponsors )

So to sum up Everton currently have the mayor of Liverpool in touch with the Police due to a transfer deal which will be undoubtedly have involved a ton of Lawyers and be contractually and legally robust.

And for good measure are accusing an ex player of leaving them due to messages frrom the occult.

usmanov and moshiri are thick as thieves. remember the programme that was investigating usmanov 'giving' the gift of the money to his mate so he could then buy into everton. means usmanov has controlling interests in two clubs.

i hate to feel like my 'heads fallen off' over this but it's ****ing unbelievable and to be fair most of us said the same about what happened with the West Ham/Olympic stadium, however at least that stadium was built for an actual purpose.

Whilst I agree local councils should do what they can in terms of planning etc to help out with their local football teams they shouldn't be getting involved with financing the deal.

I don't know the full ins and outs but how can you have someone who so clearly a partisan of Everton football club, also in charge of city funding etc to help said club. There is clearer going to bias towards 'his' club.

Surely it needs looking into and somebody neutral involved.

Its that a fee was agreed in the summer (£35m??) and the player pulled the plug on the deal at the last minute

The deal is subsequently resurrected at £15m (with £7m to the agent and possibly some money to Barkley)

He thinks a fraud has taken place

Really though the people who should be complaining is Everton (if they have a beef with it) not some jumped up fat cunt local politician

To me it's a clear conflict of interest and to say we would do the same for LFC doesn't mitigate that conflict of interest

There is some confusion though whether the council are funding 2/3 of costs or just acting as guarantor/underwriter
