"I would sooner see us at the back end of Match of the Day than the front end," That sums you his football philosophy in a single sentence.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Almost £50m spent this window so far if they sign Walcott.

Are Arsenal winding the football side down just now? They are barely going to have a team.

£20m for Walcott isn’t a bad deal for them, and apparently he scored 19 goals last season. They need goals badly, but I can’t see any team shape forming other than defensively.

New Year, new you. This is the month that many people attempt to make amends for a gluttonous December by cutting out all the bad stuff for four weeks.

Everton are embarking on a dry January of their own, but not the good kind.

In the two Premier League games played since the turn of the year, the Toffees have picked up no points, scored no goals and not even managed a single shot on target.

Sam Allardyce's solution to his side's attacking woes? Become more boring...

Spurs 4-0 Everton: Sam Allarydce thinks Everton may have to be more boring
... it is difficult to see how Everton, in an attacking sense, could become more boring. They are the only team yet to trouble the opposition goalkeeper so far this year. That's three hours of football without a single attempt on target.

Walcott was born to a black British Jamaican father and a white English mother.[10] He grew up as a Liverpool fan due to his father's support of Liverpool. When Chelsea asked him to be a ball boy, he used the opportunity to meet his Liverpool idols:

"I was playing in a tournament for Swindon when Southampton and Chelsea showed an interest. Chelsea invited me to be a ball-boy for a match against Liverpool and it was fantastic to meet my heroes Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler. I was a Liverpool fan simply because my dad followed them. Unfortunately I wasn't born when the team had their golden era, but I enjoyed watching the likes of Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler and Steve McManaman when I was growing up. When Liverpool won the Champions League last year,[11] I went mad. I was shouting so loud I think I woke up the entire village where I live!"[12]
