It's such ****. They used to have loads of out of town fans (a mate of mine from Ghana started supporting them when they won the league) but because that support has ebbed away to the nouveau's like Citeh and the Chavs they suddenly pretend LFC are the preserve of the day trippers and the International fans.
So now having OOT fans is a crime. It's ****ing jealousy pure and simple. Oh and they forget that when the Echo (or Radio city?) did a poll a few years back 70% of locals said they were reds not blues.

It's just a tragic attempt at finding something in their minds that they can conceivably claim to be better at isn't it? Having less global supporters...Originally posted by Norbs View PostParts of this are possibly true
The ‘Liverpool’ that we once rivalled no longer exists. If you want proof of how little Liverpool are rooted in the community, imagine picking up Anfield and relocating the stadium somewhere else in the country. The impact would be negligible. Tourists and domestic and international fans would flock there, no matter where it was. Liverpool are a ‘Liverpool’ club in name alone. They might have Scouse fans, but they are no longer what drives the club forward. They are now the minority. And not just internationally but also within Anfield itself, just a sliver of the selfie-taking, half-scarf wearing horde
...score!!!

35 years on - ****ing hell.
I understand someone wanting to express their sadness at the human cost of the tragedy but to (continue) to use it as an excuse for bitterness and years of football under achievement is despicably pathetic.

Awful lot of words there about the effect on Everton and single passing sentence about 39 fans that died.Originally posted by rodo View PostThey really are on a roll at the moment but this is staggering

Also, I was 2 when Hysel happened. Why should I feel shame? I wasn't involved in the violence. I wasn't even in Belgium.Football without Origi is nothing

Ha.
"Imagine, if you would, Everton fans somehow conspiring, right now, to rob Liverpool of Klopp, Salah, Mane and Van Dijk. To, in the blink of an eye, devastate everything that club has spent the last four years building towards. Now, keeping in mind the average Liverpool fans complete inability to let anything go"
Because those fans that night deliberately set out to get Everton banned. And as for not letting something go. I wonder if he could give 3 examples.Football without Origi is nothing

I would like to see them try, having lived in the city for a good few years I would say for most Everton fans their hate for us is as strong as their love for Everton, in some cases stronger. I don't think there is a single Everton fan who isn't obsessed with us.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
