They should have been relegated but a shoddy goaline decision and Hans Segers kept them up. But yeah, generally they are pointless.

Spurs linked with him as well using Walker-Peters in the deal.Originally posted by Irishnev View Posthttps://twitter.com/jburttelegraph/s...50532847788033
He’d make them better but they need a GK, 4 defenders and another 4 midfielders

96-97 or thereabouts. They stayed up on goal difference one year and that was a shockingly dodgy over the line goal not given that may have even been in the last minutes of the final game of the season that would have changed the outcome of the game.Originally posted by Sus View PostWhat season was this, Dave?

Did a bit of searching and it was 94 and again in 98.
Dive for the penalty and suspicious lack of effort on the dive from a match fixer

Then the 1998 Everton survived against Bolton by goal different. The non goal wasn't late in the final game of the season but as it happened was against Bolton in September - their first match at the Reebok - finished 0-0. Seemingly impossible to find a clip of the goals but plenty of news articles report that it did cross the line.Football without Origi is nothing

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
