I have to say a small part of me wanted to see how their fans would have reacted if they won the cup and got relegated, the paradox of being the best team in 27 years by winning a trophy but the worst in 70 odd by getting relegated. The fact that the owners and players they dislike could bring them the joy of a successful cup final but the pain and misery of relegation, the knowledge that on their day they could win a cup but they couldn't do it week in and week out enough to keep them up
