It's amazing how many of their fans have given up already

With that much negativity in their fanbase even their home games can get toxic quickly

Until I checked their fixtures I thought they *should* be alright, but up next they have Man United, Leicester, us, Chelsea then Leicester again

Then Palace and Arsenal as their last two fixtures. Ouch.

That is a tough run in!

Bookies have them about even money to go down now, but Burnley definitely have the easier run in.

They’re all turning on Calvert Lewin now.

I think they have a big decision to make, and there are no guarantees even if they do make it.

If they keep Lampard they are doomed. If they sack him and make the right appointment they have a slim chance.

I think they've almost left it too late to sack him now? I think sacking him and putting Big Dunc in charge until the end of the season might galvanise the fans and do enough to get them enough points to survive. You're swapping one **** manager for another, but at least its one the fans like

It is a gamble though, and an expensive one they maybe cannot even afford given their dire financial troubles? I think they're stuck with the horrible Tory to be honest.

                Fat chance with Lampard

After having slept on it I’d probably trade the CL part of the PL CL double for their relegation.
Meals and Christmas with the in-laws would be bearable.Day to day interactions with bitters would be pleasurable. I’d consider trading a minor appendage.

Lampard has only been in charge for 9 PL games, I'm reading that he's not and never was a manager for a relegation battle, but surely they knew where they were when they appointed him, they were 16th or so. Or were they deluded enough to think that they weren't in trouble then? I don't like the constant appointing of the old dinosaurs but I guess you can see why they do it. If they sack Lampard who would want the job there isn't much time to get new ideas across and their fixtures look fairly difficult on paper.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think they were delusional in appointing him as you've suggested. They only considered climbing the table, not what could happen if the opposite happened.

They have always had delusions of grandeur, and this is a costly, and potentially catastrophic, example of it in action.

Apparently Moshiri has flown to Liverpool today.

Funny as **** if they sack him

I wasn't sure anyone could eclipse Gary Neville at Valencia, but Frank has pulled out a miracle

At least Gary had a language barrier to overcome
