Bit of a nonsense article/issue imo - they aren't refusing to sign off on the accounts, they haven't even begun work on them yet.

They haven't formally resigned as auditor yet and the accounts aren't due for another 6 months - appoint a new auditor if needed, do accounts, move on with life.
