What's the worst that could happen, if he turns up and ****s on the pitch I doubt anyone would notice as there's that much there alreadyOriginally posted by BootRoom View PostMight get a turn in the managerial hot seat; couldn't do much worse than Frankie.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Though Allardyce was actually a quite progressive manager early on in his career. From his time managing Limerick right up to when he got Bolton into Europe he was one of the first British coaches to embrace stats, the importance of proper diets, was quite savvy tactically and so on.
Then whatever clicked in him, tactics became tic tacs, diet became pint glasses of gravy or wine, and he became a total dinosaur.
Lampard seems to have totally bypassed the being young and having fresh ideas stage and gone straight to the bottom of the barrell 1970's cloggers style.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Personally think Gerrard is currently at the same sort of level as Lampard and co tbh.
Lampard looked like he might be decent when he was at Derby so that is is Rangers level bit. He looked **** once he stepped up to managing at PL level.
Gerrard looked decent when he had the best team in a **** league, then slowly but surely got exposed at PL level.
Lot of the ex players just jump it at too high a level on the back of their names as players.
Most of the better younger managers tend to have worked their way up for a decent number of years before getting a half decent managerial role.
Look at Thomas Frank at Brentford. He was ten years cutting his teeth before he got the Brentford job when they were in the Championship.
Graham Potter was 11 years working his way up before getting the Brighton job or 10 years working his way up to the Swansea job.
Even guys like Tuchel took 15 years going from youth set ups to senior ones before he got the Dortmund job.
The Gerrards, Lampards, Rooneys etc tend to totally bypass the working their way up for years and years part. Gerrard did a year within our youth set up and went to Rangers.
Lampard probably had dinner once in Derby before getting the job.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Their in a real pickle, desperately need someone in to motivate the side and stave off relegation but don't want to make yet another mistake appointing the wrong manager. IMO they should go for a temporary appointment to give them that short term boost & then use the time in the summer to shop around... well providing they stay up.
Getting someone in short term to get the players fired up vs picking from a limited numbers of guys mid season imo would be their best shout. What's hilarious is that some like Fat Sam would have been perfect for this but they treated him like **** so no chance. Wonder is Mr. Motivator still kicking around
