I don't think the fixture computer is totally random. They shouldn't get to pick who they play but you'd think that they could speak with the league and make it a little bit more meaningful.

You have to thin AI could process all that in a matter of minutes, or at least spit out the clashes that would need a compromise solution. There is also the not insignificant demands of the TV schedule to agree too.

if for example a stand is not ready at the start of the season clubs can ask for a certain number of games to be away from home

Everton asked the prem league last season not to have their last game of season at goodison as they didn't want last ever game at goodison to be overshadowed by title celebrations.
