Report I heard said that an English man had pled guilty to manslaughter, as stated in the Mirror report. If it's wrong then I apologise, but only further highlights how **** our media are!

That it was an unprovoked attack I thought had been well established in the aftermath.

You might well be right, but as you've highlighted the media need to clarify this as people can jump to the wrong conclusion and this could instigate tit for tatt incidents in the future.

The Mail themselves reporting he's an England fan too....I suppose that makes it more likely that he actually is a welshman living in England with their track record!

Unprovoked attack by an England fan, who has now pleaded guilty to manslaughter, as he was walking through the turnstile.

Our media really are **** aren't they.

I don't see what that's got to do with what I said? My point, in case it wasn't abundantly clear, was that in the immediate aftermath the Mail, along with countless other newspapers, reported that he was killed as a result of Welsh fans having a mass brawl amongst themselves. Some even speculated that it was due to Swansea vs Cardiff rivalry.

In fact, that turned out to be 100% bull****, and reports now seem to suggest that he died as a result of a single blow to the back of the head by an English fan. From what I've read it was an unprovoked attack, but in any case there's little evidence of a huge fight as reported.

So I'm saying our press are ****e. That's got nothing to do with whether the deceased was an angel or a thug himself.

Reports suggest he died as a result of trauma to the back of the head. That does not mean he was punched from behind. Our press being ****e are reporting the initial briefing they received fromthe police. The 100% bull**** you speak of in that article is infact one sentence that has disputed facts

Detectives believe he was knocked to the ground, suffering fatal injuries after a fight broke out with other Welsh fans. Six people were arrested last night, none of them believed to be England fans.
That the fight happened near the entrance for Welsh fans, makes it more plausible that the police allowing a hoarde of fans wearing England shirts run up to the Welsh end.

Complaining about press speculation while spreading wild speculation seems a little silly to me.

If you read what I wrote, the 100% bull**** I referred to was not the Mail article in its entirety, but the claim made by almost all the press at the time that it was welsh fans fighting amongst themselves, and that it was a Swansea vs Cardiff thing.

It was widely reported that he died as part of a large fight. That wasn't true.

It was widely speculated amongst the red-tops that it was due to Swansea vs Cardiff rivalry. It wasn't (as that particular Mail article correctly points out to be fair).
