So basically, he wasn't very good last season so we probably shouldn't expect him to be for us?

I would add that when his passes do come off they are so good that they can create a break/chance from nowhere. Stats do indeed tell only half the story, so it's odd that the author points this out and then continues to use nothing but.Last edited by Kenneth; 11-10-11, 07:13 PM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

I'm not knocking Adam but he has a long way to go before he really endears himself to me. If I heard we were selling him in January, I wouldn't be bothered in any way. I loved the idea of a passing maestro but him and Lucas as a midfield pairing are less than the sum of their parts because neither of them have real dynamism or drive from the CM position. Adam may be dirty - and that's fine as it often goes with the CM job - but he needs to be dirty and dynamic. Crunch players to win the ball and move it, not just for the sake of stopping them running past you again. Time will tell but his passing may not be enough alone to make it here.Felching ≠ Gerbilling

Yep, every Scotland player was garbage. Away to Spain, surprise, surprise! But theres some tools who are determined to jump on him for any reason possible which is a shame.Originally posted by acdmackay View PostIt was **** but it was Spain. Inevitable.
International performances mean **** all anyway.

Bannan outperformed him???? did you watch the same game as me??? Bannan was awful tonight & although Adam was a little bit better , he wasnt anywhere near the level of Fletcher - who - and i hate to say it was outstanding & ran himself into the ground (hopefully he is knackered for saturday as he played 85 mins).
Adam looked very tired after 70 mins today...i would be surprised if he starts on saturday

Scotland showed more fight & spirit tonight against a very good Spanish side and they were far from being garbageOriginally posted by Chris View PostYep, every Scotland player was garbage. He was poor....not to say he's a poor player but would you rather everyone had the red tinted spectacles on and say he was great?Originally posted by Chris View PostYep, every Scotland player was garbage. He's also IMO had a very average start to his career with us. Doesnt mean i (or others) won't give him my full support but people are just expressing an opinion.'Religion is killing each other over who has the best imaginary friend'

Bumping the thread to boast about him having a bad game v the best team in the world while surrounded by utter garbage himself is a bit weird I find.Originally posted by Ben_Itez View PostHe was poor....not to say he's a poor player but would you rather everyone had the red tinted spectacles on and say he was great?

Especially when its nothing to do with his Liverpool career anyway. But each to their own.

has he? I've been impressed with him so far and think he's settled in well. If we can close the gap between defence and attack, it'll suit him better. I honestly don't know what people want, I mean 12 months ago we were ****ed as a club and now there are so many positives and we have a player trying to make the step up who actually wants to be here and wants to do well for us.Originally posted by Ben_Itez View PostHe's also IMO had a very average start to his career with us.Always borrow money from a pessimist.
