All true, but meh. So winning in Europe will be harder. It might be more of an issue if we hadn't already won it 5 timesOriginally posted by dom9 View Post[Arn]It will make us even less competitive against the European clubs, particularly the Spanish. Don't foget our 50% tax rate too. It's already having an effect, if you forget about City.[/Arn]

Of course Sky take the cash and they exploit their market domination whatever the sector.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostWhere does all the money go, in Sky's pockets? If the council is taking money from it, then this is fair enough.
I simply disagree with your suggestion that it's unfair to treat pubs differently from private individuals..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Money from TV deals shouldn't even count in the accounts when UEFA look at them IMO.Originally posted by Lee View Post**** the European clubs.
We have wealthy owners and I doubt the FFP rules will be implemented that well.
I forgot to add those in my analysis too.
They should just add a fixed amount, say €30m, to every account instead of the TV money. The reason being that it is different rules. Some countries like Spain and Italy have individual TV deals and the PL don't. Then you add another fixed amount if the club play in the CL/EL.
It isn't fair that the English clubs get paid more only because they are English IMO. An English team that qualify for the last 16 get paid much more than a Croatian team for example.
In reality they will get paid more but UEFA should replace those figures with a fixed amount instead.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

In that case gate receipts shouldn't be counted either. It's simply not fair that some clubs have bigger stadiums than others. Particularly where local rules mean that the some clubs can't just infinitely expand their capacity at the expense of local residents and the community.Originally posted by Arn View PostMoney from TV deals shouldn't even count in the accounts when UEFA look at them IMO.

I know but UEFA can do something about it very easily. The clubs would still get their money but it would count in a different and more fair way if UEFA did what I suggested.Originally posted by Alex View PostIts also not fair that 3 or 4 leagues prop up the money for the rest of the competition. But they do. Nothing is perfect Arn.
If a club qualify for the last 16 then they add €15m to the accounts. €25m if they qualify for the last eight and €40 if they qualify for the last four and so on.
