Of course Sky take the cash and they exploit their market domination whatever the sector.

I simply disagree with your suggestion that it's unfair to treat pubs differently from private individuals.

I agree with you but the rates they charge pubs are completely unfair and only the likes of a walkabout would ever make more than they pay in license to Sky. All my local pubs cancelled their Sky contracts.

The only trouble with that is that they do a good job of segragating the Frank The Tanks of this world from the rest of us.

In that case gate receipts shouldn't be counted either. It's simply not fair that some clubs have bigger stadiums than others. Particularly where local rules mean that the some clubs can't just infinitely expand their capacity at the expense of local residents and the community.

Someone posted a link on here earlier in the year. Might need to go back a couple of pages in General Football though.

From what I remember the boxes are about a couple of hundred quid and you need a dish. I don't think you need any subscription though. Might be worth a Google.

Money from TV deals shouldn't even count in the accounts when UEFA look at them IMO.

They should just add a fixed amount, say €30m, to every account instead of the TV money. The reason being that it is different rules. Some countries like Spain and Italy have individual TV deals and the PL don't. Then you add another fixed amount if the club play in the CL/EL.

It isn't fair that the English clubs get paid more only because they are English IMO. An English team that qualify for the last 16 get paid much more than a Croatian team for example.

In reality they will get paid more but UEFA should replace those figures with a fixed amount instead.

Well, we must increase our capacity because of the new rules or we will be left behind. Before the new rules it was all about making a big profit now we must increase it to have a chance.

Our owners won't be allowed to add that much of their own money to cover the difference between us and Man U for example.

Mind you, almost all pubs are in desperate straits, the whole sector is in crisis. Fewer people watch games in pubs now than they used to - illegal internet streams don't help.
