Yes simply because he was an icon of his generation, a magician that wasn't ever given the right support.

i hate to say it, but if he had gone to Man U instead of spurs he would have been looked after so much better. Fergie would have ensured that.

He’s clearly not the brightest, but also seems like a guy who has needed a lot of stability around him to keep him together. His marriage broke up early but he has always been a boozer.

He must have family who can look after him?

TBH i don't think anyone has the time or wants the responsibility to look after Gaza..does he heed to be sectioned for his own good? can he be?

He doesn’t want anybody to take care of him. Many people have tried over the years, several people have bankrolled detox programs for him. He is an out and out substance addict and I don’t think anything would have been any different whether he went to united or anywhere else. Take George Best for example he was blessed with a liver transplant and kept drinking, there is never a good enough reason to quit, even death. Yes it’s sad to see, this is the hard cold face of addiction.
