Thanjk you.

He's a 'top top' player. He would add a lot to out starting XI, he's still not signed a contract so we should put in a cheeky bid next summer (unless he too has his eyes on City's cash).
So what do we make of Meireles, good or bad decision to sell him?
IMO it was probably a poor decision, Charlie Adam is certainly NOT an improvement and he's settled in at Chelsea really well.
He wouldn't be playing centre midfield for us, but would have been a good option for right side of midfield, where we lack options, or off the bench. Probably would have been better to have kept him, but I'm still not *that* bothered that he's gone...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Joey Barton in the tunnel informing Terry and the refs about the 6-1 result

I said it often enough, we replaced an established Portugese international with Charlie 'one good half season' Adam.
Thing is Meireles wouldn't have played central midfield for us.
But I think he's a better player than Adam

Why wouldnt he? He did last season. It's his position.
When it came to it at the end of last season Spearing was picked ahead of him in central midfield while Meireles was pushed out to the left or right side. That's where he'd be again this season IMO.
He would be a good option for right side at the moment where we lack options, but wouldn't get a a game in the middle IMO.

He wasn't consistent enough and pulled out of all challenges on the pitch. We don't know why he left. Maybe he had a bad attitude in the dressing room.

But I thought everybody was complaining about him being played out on the right as he was no good out there?
