But that's the great thing about Spurs, they'll drop daft points in that run of games. Guaranteed.

I'm not worried about Spurs. I've been disrespecting them for years, and been justified, they're a de-facto 4th place finish only if we and Arsenal completely implode, which is possible but it's in our hands.

VdV has been their difference maker in the most part, much like Suarez has for us.
The problem is they have Adebayor who is a known goal scorer. Sooner or later he will start scoring and that's worrying me already.

They have played us,Arsenal,ManU and City already and have a point more than us with a game in hand.

We are yet to play City and Chelsea. I'm dreading this threat from them.

3 of those were at home though, we've already been to Stoke, Arsenal and Everton while they havent. Plus they have to come to Anfield yet. Relax, its early days.

I posted this in another thread, but Adebayor is known for starting off well at a new club, scoring a few goals and then fading. He started well at Spurs too, scored a couple of goal and now has gone 5 consecutive games without a goal.

The problem is if he's looking for a new club his good form might return. Let's hope he's happy sitting on his big City pay cheque for a few years happy to be loaned out here and there.

He was looking to cement a move to Real Madrid at the end of last season, but still didnt produce good enough form for them to sign him permanently.

I thought he had a decent record at Real Madrid I read somewhere that he got 7 goals in 9 starts, the figure is diluted when you add sub appearences to 8 goals in 22 games. If you consider each sub appearence was on average ~30mins he probably had got more than 1 goal every 180 mins, which is a decent enough record.

Aye he did well in that sense, but they chose not to keep him, so in the sense that he was playing to secure a move, he still failed.

why anyone would loan that mob a player is beyond me. unless they were paying transfer fee type loan fees.

5 of them goals came in two matches though when Madrid scoored 12 goals in total, so they weren't exactly important goals and skew the results a bit.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

****ing stoke, why do they raise their game against the big clubs and then bend over against the rest?

Newcastle's opening 10 games this season. I dont think i remember such an easy start:

                                Arsenal (h)
                                Sunderland (a)
                                Fulham (h)
                                QPR (a)
                                Aston Villa (a)
                                Blackburn (h)
                                Wolves (a)
                                Tottenham (h)
                                Wigan (h)
                                Stoke (a)

                                Their next 4:
                                Everton (h)
                                Man City (a)
                                Man Utd (a)
                                Chelsea (h)
