    Martin Samuel

This bloke is an utter turd, but he's comically inept so i just laugh at him, rather than hating him.

A few weeks ago on Sunday Supplement, he claimed, without any sense of irony, that Stoke could genuinely make a claim for a top four place.

On this morning's episode, when discussing who was in the race for top four, he finally acknowledged that Stoke wont be in that particualar race, but put it down to the fact that they're in Europe.

"Stoke have the Europa League to contend with unfortunately, which will probably put paid to their chances"

Yes, that's why Stoke have no chance of finishing 4th, isnt it?

What a cockturd he is, i cannot believe people like that get paid handsomely for their frankly retarded views.

I thought his views were better than the bloke in a suit this morning.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Little surprise Olly Kay no longer turns up on that ****fest of a show.

Didn't the bloke in a suit try to dismiss the possibility of terry racially abusing ferdinad as just something in the heat of the moment and not really racist

Yeah, my ears certainly perked up at that point.

"He isnt a racist. He just made a racist comment. I'm not justifying it. But it was in the heat of the moment...."

"I'm not justifying it, but...." means "I am justifying it, and...."

His non justification sounded very much like he was trying to justify it.

Samuel talked sense on that I thought

Yeah, Samuel is a bit like monkeys on a typewriter, sooner or later, he's going to get something right.

This programme is incredibly cheap television and is a useful patronage vehicle for Sky, a vanity project for stoking the oversized egos of a small coterie of football journalists, facilitating the spread of certain ideas, ensuring criticism of Sky's impact on football is marginalised, and so on.

You're not supposed to watch it.
                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
