**** footballer, great goalscorer. Then again I'd fancy myself for 15 a season with that service.

bayern look really good as do barca and real. you have to say that if you factor in utd, city, chelsea and milan there are some pretty tasty teams left in the competition. strangely its the bottom tier teams that have gotten worse and if anything the competition is more polarised that what it was.

I really miss champions league nights and we are still a long way away from the team that everyone feared in europe. small steps at a time but I hope we qualify for this years.

it will be very very tough for us though.

Bayern's defence isn't good enough to win it, Milan are average tbh. It's a two team competition again & I just hope they don't meet until the final.

European football is in a bad state imo.

            Are we winning?

So are Man Utd. They've had 110% possession so far according to Louis Walsh.
              Hello mert.

They've got eight first team players missing tonight. Not usually so bad but have a small squad.

BBC Radio 5 live pundit Kevin Gallacher: "I can't believe how easy it is for Manchester City. It's normally so tough here. I've seen Everton and Middlesbrough struggle here. But they've got four to five key players out, and City have shown the confidence they've had in the Premier League."

Like that's any kind of barometer for City!

Villarreal had half of their first team unavailable.

Gutted about my injury. Felt my left quad as I reached out to try and score prior to Valencias goal. Was really looking forward to playing.

Just hope it's not too serious and I'm back in action soon. Won't get too down. Lads got an important win to put us top of our group.
