He has a whole country of people to choose from but yet he is making to with bits of string and sticking plaster to build a team of round pegs in square holes.

    Damning.
    Oh I don't know.

Just don't get it. His club record shows he clearly is (was? Tiswas) a top, top manager, yet he seems to make stupid decision after stupid decision as far as England are concerned. Maybe he just doesn't give a ****.

And this whole Jones has gone beyond ridiculous.

        Is Johnson in the squad?
Spain will tear us a new one with a midfield with Jones and Lampard.

Are there better players available? I don't follow it so haven't a clue.

Of course not. Who could possibly be better than Jones?

Im fully expecting England to lose by at least two.

1-4 sounds about right. Spain do concede the odd goal and England have a height advantage (compared to all their midgets) so should grab one from a set piece.

Phil Jones in midfield, surely that's a joke?

I hope Spain play a near full strength side as to lose heavily to their reserves would be even more embarassing.

Why oh why oh why is Lampard going to be captain? We all know it should be Phil Jones.
                      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Hang on. What are you saying is a stupid decision? Lampard as captain or Jones in midfield or both?

Probably not, the England team has absolutely no depth and very little in up and coming talent.
