      He did a very good job for us early on, the treble the season we finished second, but the last couple of years he was here he took us backwards.

      I think most peoples problems with him are the attempts to claim credit for other successes (Champions league win), and the critisisms he has of others.
      The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                    Agree. He got some good buys for us at good prices. Hyppia, Babbel, McAllister to name a few. I don't include Didi because he cost about 8m which in todays prices is a snip.

                    I think his health probably took a lot out of him and is the reason why we started to slide.

                    As for his attempts to claim credit, I remember prior to him coming to us he stated he was the reason why Cantona went to United and took credit for Frances wins for the WC and Euro. At the time I thought it a bit strange.

                                He was right to sue IMO. Houllier never misses an opportunity to bash Ginola.
