Aye but the thread starter started this thread because he thinks Lampard IS **** (or at least overrated)

Of course, sorry I just got carried away with the emotion when I read the posts saying he is good. My bad.

I agree 100% with Phil Neal's original post.

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with him being slagged off

Your indignation with us makes sense now.

Never been a massive fan of Lampard but you've got to give him credit for making the most of what he's got, clearly works damn hard as he's not a natural talent like Gerrard for instance.

Someone that a lot of young footballers should look at in terms of dedication IMO

I don't like him, but I think he's a good player but not as good as he's often made out to be, but that goes with being a good English player. We take the piss out of him for the number of lucky/deflected goals he gets, but I guess it's a case of 'you don't win the raffle if you don't buy a ticket...'

Someone mentioned his goal scoring record being 1 in 3, out of curiousity what does it become if you take out penalties?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He may fitter than most but he is still a fat cunt. Plus, he has a turnip shaped head.

Edit: Just looked, and his goal ratio is pretty much 1 in 3. Yeah, **** player.
I think you'll find Matt le Tissier is the highest goalscoring midfielder in top flight history. He smashed in 162 goals in the top flight, that is also including the old first division which is the same as the current Premier league, different name. And that was playing for a ****e team. And yes he was a attacking midfielder and not striker

He has scored a lot of goals and I give him credit for that, albeit most have been against weaker teams or deflections.

However, take his goals away and he is simply an ineffective nobody. His passing is poor, he doesn't tackle, he's never involved in play etc...

Why do people rate him so highly?

In the games against Liverpool, it sometimes takes the half time line up repeat before the 2nd half kick off to make me aware he is on the pitch.

His missus looks like a Moomin too
Personally I don't think you understand much about football mate.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Rat boy was probably the best Right Back the premier league has ever seen. Disliking a person is no reason to get all sour grapes and accuse them of being ****. Leave that for the bitters. We're big enough and sure enough to do that.

Frank is far from the best midfielder or even attacking midfielder the premier league has seen but he's a very good player nonetheless. Great 1st touch, good range of passing and intelligent with the ball/combines well with others, spidey sense off the ball and a knack for showing up at the right time and place on the edge of the box. I don't like him much but he's certainly no Terry.

The media just drool over the fat one don't they.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard scored an impressive 50-yard lob over Ben Foster in an England training session.

Who else gets a piece written about them for scoring a goal in practice, other than Torres of course.
