Very good footballer who whatever the reason was could never fully deliver at the club's level but on international stage he does it in a big way.

I'd take him no questions asked.

Only 26 and would be a definite upgrade on what we have in that department and he wouldn't be too expensive to acquire.

He's still only young, he's like a veteran he's been around for that long.

He's a very accomplished finisher too has a great left foot on him. Maybe he's one of those who works well alongside another hard working striker as he has with Klose.

Absolutely not. No ****ing way, he's completely average. If you think Suarez misses a lot of chances, you'd really dig Podolski.

But most of all, he's a really frail person, his confidence is so up and down and so ****, he had to leave Bayern and go back to his home club Cologne, because he couldn't take the pressure at a big club (even in the same country/language etc.). There have been many many games where he offers little to nothing.

I definitely don't want him at the club, for the sole reason his confidence as a human is pathetic and weak and we need proper winners in the team now and not another bit-part understudy - mentally. This is well important in my opinion.

I sort of agree with your concerns about Podolski sean but saying 'his confidence as a human is pathetic and weak' seems a little harsh.

The Kop can have a strong influence on the weak-minded.
                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

As a fan of Heskey, you would say that

I like Podolski - he looks a world beater whenever he's playing for Germany. Terrific shot on him. Extremely aggressive, determined and scores big goals. I think he would adapt to the Premiership no problem. It's very strange that he's never really been able to carry his international form over to club level. Perhaps a change of scene would do him the world of good.

That's what he thought when he left Cologne to go to Bayern. Did him more harm than good and he crept back to his boyhood club. Mentally, he's not right for us and I stand by that.

                          And with regards to dww:

He is weak, extremely weak. We need titans, real battlefield players and Podolski just ain't it. Anyways, he's never going to come so it's irrelevant **** YEA!!! ehjehejhejehjekhejke

I like him too as I said in my previous post.

He has all the elements (fast, good in the air, great left foot, can pass, etc.) of being a very good player, which he proved playing for national team and I too think that he would be able to adopt his style of play very successfully in PL.

If he is available for some fair some of money I'd pick him up.

He's only 26 and has some good football left in him.

Yeah but Bayern isn't always a good place to judge a player cos lefts face it, Bavaria is a little bit weird.

Bayern Munich had the winning €10 million bid for his services, but the family man was never happy in southern German high-society. Injuries and prominent competitors blocked his breakthrough in Munich. Also the arrival of coach Jürgen Klinsmann, his biggest promoter with the national team, didn’t change his situation on the bench at the Säbener Straße. A multi-million salary, Champions League football, cup and league titles didn’t made Podolski happy in Munich.

In these times excessive transfer fees from big clubs, it sounds like a fairy tale, that his biggest love, 1. FC Köln, did everything to realise a return of their “Prinz Poldi.“ With viral marketing €10 million was collected, other clubs may have to paid much more to Uli Hoeneß, but the Bayern sporting director accepted the bid, seeing the homesickness of the young striker. For less of a salary, Podolski returned this season back at the Rhine, although he has yet to regain his previous form. But there is no doubting Podolski’s success with the national team.

There are many MANY more articles which detail his homesickness, but they're all in German and I really cannot be arsed translating them for you. You could use google translate webpage...
