Russia aren't a bad side. They beat England the last time they met.

You can keep referring to one-offs and anomolies, but Russia are no great shakes, even if they beat England once. And furthermore, beating England isnt the measure of a great side. In fact, beating anyone, in a one off games, isnt the measure of a good side either.

Northampton beat Liverpool last season, that doesnt make Northampton a great scalp for anyone who beats them.

I'm not having a go at Ireland, i'm delighted that they've got to the Euros and i hope they do well. But, in the context of the tournament finals, they arent very good.

9 clean sheets against any opposition is nothing to be sniffed at, and no fluke under Trap.

Italy, Coatia and Russia aren't the worst teams in the world either.

I cannot see them making through no matter what. They may put on a good fight but they are one step behind both Croatia and Italy.

And if you read any of my posts I never refer to Ireland as 'we', I support Liverpool and only LIverpool. I'll join in the party atmosphere during the finals and obviously cheer them on, but I'm not a supporter. All I'm pointing out is Trap has done an excellent job and made Ireland very hard to beat.

You are the one that can't accept this and want to be proven right that Ireland are ****.
