That's fair enough too Shaggy. CPFC ST holder i work with calls him a striker too, but each to their own. Even on the right, i'd be gutted if Kuyt only delivered 3 goals from 60 games. Zaha's obviously a kid and nowhere near Kuyt's level of development, but he's also playing at a significantly lower level. Even as a right winger/right forward, his return is very poor. Maybe if he knew when to do tricks and when to do the simple thing (eg, finish), it might be better. It could come with experience of course.

Indeed, it's pretty obvious in it?

Oh yes, it was a pretty brainless bit of control and pass that led to Ambrose's amazing strike....and the second bit of brainless play led to the free kick from which the winning goal was scored....

We could do with some of these brainless players. IMO

FWIW I think he is a very raw talent, not quite ready for a club like us. But if Kenny thought he could work his magic on him I would be delighted.

The kid has the right mentality I will give him that. Never looked daunted and wanted the ball and wanted to show what he can do.

Not good enough for me, very much a 1 trick pony
Talented lad but not good enough for us imo

Exactly how I feel, he's going to be a cracking player. I think because he's English people are quick to write him off but he does look good.

I'd be excited if we signed him think he's going to make it to the very top.

Its about time we took a gamble on a player like Zaha. He is very skilful, has loads of pace and could be used sparingly while he is young as an impact sub. We rarely sign these types of players and we need more balance.

i think we have much more pressing problems within the squad than a forward we intend to use sparingly.

couple of years down the road when dalglish has his team sorted, sure.

True that but if we got him young and he turned out to be a brilliant player, who went to one of our rivals, we'd be cursing that we didn't do more to try to sign him. Also the it fits with the FSG policy of bringing in younger players to develop. We probably have enough good young players to develop now but one more wouldn't hurt at the right price.

i just don't think "it's about time" we did this. there is a time and place for it and it will come soon, but we need to look at the first xi first.

there is a limit to how much we can spend with ffp.
