From some unhappy chappy on the VillaTalk forum:

Mcleishs constant selecting of Heskey in midfield is like continually asking your 90 year old dementia ridden grandfather to take your physics A level every week....

Not that I know what it's like to take a Physics A Level, but I get his point.

It's staggering how, in just the last 5-10 mins, Heskey either gave the ball away every time he had it, or when he did retain possession, it was via a 3 yard layoff or square ball under no pressure.

He's utter dog**** and i bet he's on about £50k p/w too. You cant do much about the money, the contract's been signed and the club are obliged to honour it.

But that ****ing donkey of a manager actually picks him.

        He's **** and always been ****.

I thought he was a donkey at Leicester, I was gutted when we signed him (because he wasn't good enough and I knew it meant that Fowler was leaving), and he's done nothing to prove that he's a PL player since.

What's his career record? One in six? One in seven? He's a donkey.

It's not even about his goal record though. He cant even play football.

Yup. How he's made a career as a top flight footballer is beyond me.

He was excellent at the start for us.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

                He was for one season.

One goal every 4.5 games over his career according to wikipedia

Edit: Although his record since leaving us is 1 goal every 5.7 games.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                    Thanks buddy.

I'm actually shocked that it's as good as that. Like Craig said above - even if you take away his (poor) goalscoring record he's still not a very good footballer. Never rated him. Even in his first full season for us.

Since leaving us though, he record is just 1 in every 5.7 games. 45 goals in his last 7.5 seasons

Lets hope Villa keep McLeish till we smash them on Monday in a few weeks, then he can **** off, turning that club to **** like Birmingham

Surely after what it took to get him (the fans reaction) they can't get rid of him yet.

Things really didnt go for us yesterday, David Luiz only booked for what was a definite red card - and then Gary Cahill sent off early for what is clearly not a red card offence.

                              Beneficiaries - Spurs and Chelsea.
