It’s all a gimmick though. I remember reading about a few of the high profile Paddy Power pay outs and each time the extra money made through the publicity earned them much more than what the bets cost them.

Not sure that will always be the case but bookies aren’t stupid and you can bet that paying out on both City and United won’t cost FD much, if at all.
