no idea although am sure they will splash the cash:
Manchester City have accepted that striker Radamel Falcao, 27, is likely to join either Chelsea or Real Madrid and are to press ahead with a bid for Napoli forward Edinson Cavani instead.

City are set to meet the £54m buy-out clause required to sign the 26-year-old Uruguayan international.

Slightly worrying that Cavani at City could make it more of an attractive move for Luis.

Why would it? He isn't going to go to another English club I reckon.

Exactly. Nothing would surprise me now.

Why would you compare him to Torres though? Think Luis' character is much different.

There is no way they would sign Cavani and Suarez. They already have Tevez, Aguero and Dzeko.

to sign both of them they would need to move at least 2 of those strikers on.

Falcao is a good bit better than Cavani - Chelsea (if he goes there obviously) will be getting much the better deal there.

Manchester City are ready to begin a £60million-plus overhaul of their squad with summer moves for Napoli’s Edinson Cavani and Celtic’s Victor Wanyama.
Manager Roberto Mancini and football director Txiki Begiristain have recognised the need to freshen up the under-performing Barclays Premier League champions and will offload at least four players to help satisfy the demands of UEFA’s financial fair play guidelines.
City opened talks over a move for Napoli’s prolific forward Cavani last month and were initially put off by his £52m release clause.

I think City from next season will dominate the league. The reason being that they now have Soriano and Txiki in charge. Proven winners that know football inside out.

They won't sign any player with a big ego. They will sign players that work their socks off every week and deliver every week. Nasri and Tevez will be sold.

Will Mancini still be the manager? Probably not.

From next season Man C will be a team and not a bunch of big egos. That is scary.

I suppose that's why they are linked with Ronaldo?

Form a cue: Fans flock to Stockport boozer to watch as Sergio Aguero plays pool for commercial

Derby day hot-shot Sergio Aguero stunned pub regulars when he dropped in at their local boozer for a game of pool.

The City star set tongues wagging as he popped into The Woodley Arms on Hyde Road, Stockport, to play a 10-minute frame while being filmed nearby for an advert campaign with sponsors Puma.

Word spread throughout the afternoon that Aguero was due to make an appearance at the boozer and around 100 fans had packed into the pub when the Argentine strolled through the front door at 5.45pm.

He had spent the day filming on all-weather pitches at Woodley Sports Centre before dropping in to make use of the pub's pool room.

Fans watched on as the £35m ace stepped up to the table – posing for pictures and signing autographs in between shots.

He quickly left via the back door after sinking the black, leaving fans swooning as he drove away in his Aston Martin Vanquish.

Despite his allegiances lying on the red side of the city’s football divide, pub manager Jamie Taylor said he couldn’t turn down the chance to welcome the striker.

He said: “You couldn’t say No, could you? He’s a great player and I was as giddy as anyone when he came through the door. A lot of our regulars are City fans so it’s been a great afternoon for them and something I’m sure we’ll be having a bit of banter about for a long time.

“He was pretty handy pool player as well. We’ve got a pool league down here and if he fancies a regular game he’s welcome any time.”

Lifelong blue Bob Marston, 70, of Hoxton Close, Bramhall, was one of the lucky fans who got to shake hands with the Etihad idol.

He said: “Word was spreading like wildfire and I got the call and came straight down. I'm off down to Wembley on Sunday – I was impressed with his pool skills and hopefully he’ll be in similar form against Chelsea.”
