Perhaps Eriksen will change that in a few years.
Maybe not the best but certainly the must important in my opinion. And spot on with the FCK and scum fans. The Danish commentators at least said in the international match against Norway that the three best players on the national team were the trefoil. Bendtner, Eriksen and Rommedahl but that's not true in my opinion. In my opinion even though his still young and a talent the best player is Eriksen, the second best is Agger and the third is Bendtner. Agger really has a winning attitude and that's why everybody loves him. He do not hesitate in important situations but takes action even though he might get hurt. Kessler is the Viking Warrior and Agger is the Viking footballer.

I think I remember reading something from a Danish follower when Agger signed for us; he said that Agger speaks like The Terminator and is also the sort of player to kick up a fuss and bang on the managers door if he wasn't selected.

      Agger.
Agger is truly a fantastic player the only problem he has is his injuries. The guy almost have a longer injury record than games played. I hope his back for good now and remain not injured. Come on Agger

For me Eriksen still needs to prove himself a bit more before he takes the mantle, but again it's probably out of the way we judge him. If you go by technical ability, yeah then sure Eriksen is by far the best in the team. But there are more to footballers than that, and for me Agger is the best player we have because he is the most important. He holds the line, he shouts when needed he is a gifted footballer and like you say the true captain.

If/when Eriksen because more influental I can see him taking the role as the best player, but for now he is still behind Agger for me. And I dare even say that Kvist is close to playing himself in to a more important player than Eriksen right now.

          Can't argument with that
Kvists development the last couple of years have been amazing. Surely his going to be one of the most important players on the national team. I have one argument against my own opinion that his not the best player yet and that is he doesn't have a lot of experience yet. I look forward to see how well Eriksen and Kvist will play against Netherlands, Portugal and Germany. If we want to be the best in Europe again we would have to beat the best.
Odds that Denmark would advance from the group stage 1 to 20 or something like that.

Exclusive: Nicklas Bendtner held over brawl

                    by Dan Warburton, Evening Chronicle
                    Jan 5 2012

TROUBLE torn Sunderland star Nicklas Bendtner was arrested following an early morning brawl at a luxury Tyneside hotel.

The 23-year-old striker was held by police called to a dust-up at the Gateshead Hilton.

Bendtner, currently on bail for an alleged car wrecking spree in Newcastle, was taken away with another 23-year-old before being released.

Police today said they carried out an investigation but chose not to bring charges against the Denmark star.

His arrest came just days after the Black Cats slumped to a 2-1 defeat to Premiership contenders Chelsea on September 13 last year.

It is the second time in a matter of months the footballer has been arrested.

Last month we told how Bendtner, on a season-long loan from Arsenal, was arrested with Sunderland skipper Lee Cattermole following the suspected car-wrecking.

Several vehicles were reportedly damaged at around 10pm on December 6 in China Town’s Stowell Street yards from the St James’s Park home of Newcastle United.

Following that he issued an apology to “friends, fans, Sunderland and family” and begged forgiveness.

Today a spokesman for Sunderland refused to comment on the latest revelations but a police spokesman confirmed: “At 2.18am on Thursday, September 13, police received a report of a fight at the Hilton Hotel in Gateshead.

“Officers attended and two men aged 23 were arrested to prevent continued breach of the peace. After investigations, both men were released without charge.”

Bendtner moved to Sunderland from Arsenal in a deadline day loan deal last year. He has struggled to find form, scoring just a handful of goals since his arrival on Wearside.

Last year claims were made he caused havoc in a Copenhagen pizza shop when he demanded others pay for his food after his credit cards were rejected.

It caused outrage in his homeland and led to the Danish FA holding talks with the striker. Following his Stowell Street arrest Bendtner’s full statement, said: “Dear friends, fans, Sunderland and family.

“The past couple of weeks have seen me involved in several incidents that have attracted much negative attention from the media.

After the friendly international versus Finland I was part of an unfortunate incident at the team hotel where I more or less was portrayed as a violent character. Anybody who knows me can testify that I am not. Police in the end decided not to press charges.

“In connection with a birthday celebration with my girlfriend I was part of an incident at a pizzeria in downtown Copenhagen where my credit card got rejected. I bet you all know the feeling but in this case it was also described in the media.

“The latest incident involves two of my team-mates and me who were picked up by polite and friendly English policemen this morning as CCTV footage allegedly shows us in the process of damaging parked cars after a wet night out on the town.

“This case now has to make its way through the British system of justice and a verdict is expected by February next year. In connection with all these incidents I have to make one thing very, very clear.

“I am extremely sorry for all of this. I apologise sincerely that I have allowed myself to get involved in things that are interpreted in such dramatic fashion. I fully assume responsibility for not distancing myself from these incidents before they got out of hand. The error is mine alone and I am sorry that I have let so many people down. Basically I am a normal guy with an extraordinary job.

“I tend to forget this at times but deep down I know these things. And it does not serve as an excuse for me letting myself get caught up in this.

“My family, my son, my precious girlfriend and football are the most important things in my life. And this is what I will have to focus on 100 per cent.

“My primary objective right now is to get rid of my injury and get back into full fitness for Sunderland and Denmark. I hope you will understand that I now promise to concentrate fully on football and only football. My focus has to be here - and not anywhere else.

“It means that I in the upcoming time won’t be involved in extracurricular activities - like too many parties or interviews about my persona. Trust takes time to build - and I now can see how quickly it disappears.

“I admit my sense of judgement has been less than perfect lately. Going forward I will do all I can do in order to honour the trust that you, my fans, my friends and my lovely family show me every single day. Nothing short of the best is good enough for you and it is something I haven’t produced for you lately. See you – on the pitch.”

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
