Manchester United will make a renewed bid of £15million plus add-ons for Everton defender Leighton Baines.
After rejecting an opening bid in the region of £12m from United, Everton insist the England left-back is not for sale.
But United hope to persuade them with a deal that will total £20million including additional performance-related payments for the 28-year-old.

Baines was/is an LFC fan isn't he? Probably a new age one. I'd never play for Utd, nevermind the fact I don't have the ability. If I did and I was an LFC fan, I wouldn't go to them.
£12m is a derisory offer for him though. I might text my Everton mates about it and see what they think about Moyes trying to rip them off

Everton fans are idiots if they believe this. Moyes will know how much he can get him for.Originally posted by Bender View PostManchester United will make a renewed bid of £15million plus add-ons for Everton defender Leighton Baines.

Jeez sorry for having an opinion.Because he is/was an LFC fan and he's the best left back in the country. Sad state of affairs if we are no longer interested in players because the chances of getting them might be small. We should be making the inquiry, simple as.Can't do any harm. And whether he might get the chance to win things with them is far from certain IMO exactly because of the Gollum factor.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostLol, what would be the point? Incredibly unlikely to even consider switching blue for (our) red, even if we were the only club in the market for him. Instead the champions are, who can offer him CL footy and the chance to win things right now, plus there's Gollum to factor in. Bidding for him would just be a total waste of our time and effort.Last edited by G; 28-06-13, 10:05 AM.

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is still eyeing an Old Trafford exit.
M.E.N. Sport understands the England international is still determined to quit the Reds – even after initially viewing new manager David Moyes ’ appointment as the chance of a fresh start.
A move from Arsenal is expected to start a bidding war for the £25m-rated forward.
But Arsene Wenger is certain to face stiff opposition from United, who will be determined not to strengthen a domestic rival.
That should also rule out a move to Chelsea – even though Jose Mourinho has indicated that he would like to take Rooney to Stamford Bridge.
City will also be monitoring the situation following the departures of Mario Balotelli and Carlos Tevez in the past six months, but United will not even entertain the thought of selling to their fiercest rivals.link

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
