The money is crazy, but he is a good player and will improve them(you don't pay bad players that kind of money). For all the **** people here have been giving them for their dross football, they are still ahead of us in the table and are still looking good for the CL, were it not for City's crazy form they would probably be in a title race. Sanchez will improve them as a side and given how they have been getting results they will be a capable side, unfortunately.
For me I just hope that given his age Sanchez is past his peak and puts in the level of performances he's been putting in this seasonThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Spending is something that we football fans like to bring up, but ultimately it doesn't matter how much you or other teams have spent, it's about how good the side are and how effective they are at getting wins and points. We might feel that we are a better side because of our attacking play where as Man Utd are boring, lucky, cheats and should be playing better given how much they have spent. Regardless of any of that they are our competitors at a similar level to us (look at the league table), if they are improving their squad that is something that we have negate the effect of by ensuring that we ourselves improve and don't let them get away from us.Originally posted by Roboklopp View PostI know what you are saying but they are the most expansive side ever assembled & not far ahead of us & Spuds who have spent a fraction of what they have. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Trouble is the impact of spending is not linear when compared to quality.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostSpending is something that we football fans like to bring up, but ultimately it doesn't matter how much you or other teams have spent, it's about how good the side are and how effective they are at getting wins and points. Spending requirement become exponential the higher up the quality curve you go. So I back the club on spending less than City et al and simply trying to be just that little bit more discerning.Really?
