FWIW I dont think hes wrong with the Rashford thing. The press is obsessed with Mourinho at the moment and are looking for anything to pick on. Him only playing a 20 year old in 70% of games is a total non story.

They could talk about how his teams play **** football, or that he is on 6 points, or that he has regressed players and the team.
    *Except Michael, who died.

      Stop talking sense Alex.

It's Jose so we want to tar and feathered him, and by gawd we will

He's talking ****. The figures may be bumped up by meaningless EL or league cup fixtures, but on average he's played 1,750 minutes in the PL the past two seasons, which is about half the season. Last year Gomez who was injured and also rotating with Trent played more minutes and Ox who missed first half of season and also got injured played 1718.

Most managers would have got more out of Rashford and signing Sanchez and the expense of Rashford was typical Mourinho. I don't know what the press are saying about Rashford or why Mourinho is so annoyed, but I'm fairly certain Klopp, Ponch, Arsene and most other decent managers would be utilising him better.

And is the issue about not playing him or not getting a return from him?

Mourinho was supposed to be the saviour after LVG who was too defensive. He got 855 minutes under LVG (plus was only a kid) and scored 5 goals. Under Mourinho when he's got all these chances to play, he's averaged 6.

            He's a ballbag.

Mourinho has been criticised for giving the forward little action this season and responded by blasting his critics, claiming they tell “compulsive lies”.

Rashford scored twice for England during the international break and Mourinho appeared ready for questions about the striker as he walked into his press conference holding a piece of paper with stats and facts about the player, before launching into a three-minute rant.

He said: “I think I can expect that Sunday I’m going to be highly criticised for not playing him [Rashford] tomorrow, because some of the boys are really obsessed with me and some of them have a problem with some compulsive lies.

“So I can expect that Sunday some of them will wake up in the morning and the first thing they think of is Jose Mourinho, so I can imagine on Sunday I am going to be criticised for not playing Marcus but it’s not my fault, he’s suspended, so probably you should remind them he is suspended and cannot play.

“So I’m going to do something, not for you, but the United fans, and I think I hold myself to the United fans and so for them I am going to spend two mins with you.

“In 2016-17, Marcus Rashford played 32 Premier League matches, 11 Europa League matches, including the final, three FA Cup matches, six League Cup matches, including the final, and the Community Shield.

“He had 53 appearances, but if you want to take to the minutes of play, he played 3,068, and if you wan to divide that by 90-minute matches, he played 34.2 matches of 90-minute matches in 2016-17.

“In 2017-18, he played 35 Premier League matches, eight in the Champions League, five in the FA Cup, three League Cup matches and the European Super Cup final.

“He played a total of 52 matches with 2,676 mins, and if you divide that by 90, it gives you 29.7 matches, so with me, in two seasons, he had 105 appearances, 5,774 mins, 63.7 matches of 90 minutes, including five finals, so the people speaking about these minutes, I think they are a bit confused.

“Marcus is not Dominic Solanke, not Ruben Loftus-Cheek, not Dominic Calvert-Lewin, he’s Marcus Rashford, a Manchester United player, with an incredible number of appearances and an incredible number of minutes played at the highest level in the best possible competitions.

“So Manchester United supporters, for you and just for you, to know what we are doing with Marcus, Luke Shaw, Jesse Lingard, Scott McTominay, that’s what we are doing here.”

              definitely cracking up!!!!
Most definately. The fact that he is using so much time and effort on such things is funny as ****. Long may these compulsive liers keep him occupied on such trivia

absolute joke how many times De Gea has saved them in the last 5 years. They would be mid-table fodder without him

As I'm sure you were aware, I was talking about the nature of the goals after the comment about Lukaku's scrappy one.

they may well spawn a win here.
But how the mighty have fallen, getting outplayed by Young Boys here while we boss PSG for 90 minutes.
