On the plus side, OGS has pretty much made certain he'll be in charge next season!

€98m bid for Sancho turned down according to Bild. Says they're holding out for €120m. I feel sure they'll get him. Annoying as ****.

Gutted by that. Still a bit of a sickener for me that we're missing out on the likes of Werner/Sancho/Havertz when we're finally in a position to be their likely number 1 choice to sign for.

These are elite talents and whilst I understand our stance on transfers, I feel eventually unless we sign some of them it will cost us.

We know ourselves how transformative 2-3 or big statement signings can be. No reason it won't be the same for others, so we've got to keep apace. Surely to ****ing God we'll sign 2 or 3 this summer.

Luckily with Utd, they dont really need to strengthen the attack. Its the defence thats the problem.

Hopefully they just keep thinking Maguire will come good.

Unfortunately with them getting champs league they'll be able to spend big, well to be honest they always spend big it's what they do. I honestly can't see anyone beating them in the Europa too, champs league place and winning the Europa would be considering a great season for them. They are impressive going forward, even if they only have one way of playing, it's pure pace and power and they could very well turn into flat track bullies. I would like to think managers may figure Ole out a bit more next season though. I don't rate him as a good manager whatsoever but he has done well to get United where they are now, I honestly thought they were a banker to lose out a few months ago. So many teams capitulated above them.

Sancho is a huge talent and will undoubtedly improve them. They is no way they will not sign one or two defenders. Chelsea I feel will do the same and add of already impressive signings, they need defenders and a keeper. City will also add to their already packed squad as they do. I get the bottom line thing and how we usually sell to buy but we need to improve the squad, LFC and it's brand is peaking at the moment, we are the club everyone is talking about, imo it would be a mistake not to add some quality in a time of strength.

all of a sudden they are looking like being that couple of defenders/keeper off being contenders, Although i think us/City will need to drop off a little, If 100 points wins it again next year....They wont be that close.

Maguire is in garth crooks team of the season

removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

To win a title you need a top GK and defence but to get champions league you need firepower and that’s the approach they are going for. Beat the crap teams gets you a long way forward in this league

It will be interesting to see what happens with Henderson and De Gea, based on current form Henderson is the better GK, but will OGS have the balls to drop De Gea and play Henderson, or will having Henderson inspire De Gea to play better. I hope that stick with De Gea and his form stays as it is because we could do without him going back to his form of a few years ago.

As you say if you can consistently beat the dross that should comfortably get you into the top 4 based on recent seasons. So it would be really frustrating if they do go out and sign someone like Sancho, particularly if we aren't able to compete at the top end of the market (again ) while Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea all look like they will spend big.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
