I'm absolutely caught between these views. I'm scared Bob is right. I've stopped laughing at OGS at this stage. It's wrong to think coaches don't learn and improve. But equally it seems to be potentially insane to bring the biggest ego in football into your team at 36. Still though, when he comes on at 70 mins when you're ****in hanging on, it's some sub.

Yeah… but they’ve clearly only bought him to stop him going to City.

It ‘could’ work, but it seems a random transfer strategy.

I'm not sure why some are being so dismissive of Ronaldo. He can still play better than most players out there. He's still top draw. If they came third with just Fernandes' diving, imagine now with Ronaldo in the team. I'll honestly put myself out there and say they have an excellent chance of possibly winning the league. If you scoff at that you're seriously downplaying the team and I think thats a huge mistake. I'm not happy. But thats life.

They're definitely in the mix with Chelsea and City. If the stars align we may be also.

People sneered at Suarez last year but look what happened there. He's still a great player. As is Ronaldo, he's on the wane, sure, but he'll still score a **** tonne of goals.

United would have been strong anyway without Ronaldo. Not too sure where he fits, bit of a strange signing, not with the future in mind for sure. Maybe a commercial signing more than anything?
              Are we winning?

I'm hoping some cunt breaks him in two in his first game. Imagine how glorious to see him crying like a baby and also the red half of Manchester. I think I'd end football there. Couldn't be topped.

Maybe this could be the exit for pogba.

Agree something has to give, hopefully a younger talent

M’eh........genuinely not arsed about this circus, would be far more worried if they signed Saul. Rimakdo will score all the pens and a few others - he won’t track, he’ll strop and demand the ball all the time. Cavani suits them more

It’s a really weird signing- they clearly have no plan, why would they get sancho and give cavani a new deal if they’re planning on getting Ronaldo.. They clearly saw he was going to city and then panicked and offered him more at the 11th hour. I’d love if they were after rushing into it and didn’t think it through financially and it ended up focking them financially…

Not sure if it’s true, but someone said to me, that de gea has a clause in his contract that his wages will match the highest paid in the squad… be funny if they had to top up his salary by 300k a week or so.. it grinds my gears when I hear them giving out about city’s spending, they’re every bit as bad… especially their wage bill, the likes of rashford earning nearly double why Salah is on…

I’m sure Ronaldo will get 20+ goals, but will be interesting to see how many Fernandez gets this year, when he isn’t taking any penalties or free kicks, and has Ronaldo whining, every time he shoots from distance… also means less playing time for the likes of sancho/Greenwood etc..

The worst thing about it for me is that Ole has no excuses now- from October to start of November they play everton, leicester, Atalanta twice, us, spurs and city… 7 tricky games… reckon if they lose a handful of them, he’ll be out on his arse
                        I don't tip

                          Cavani did OK

I hope I'm wrong. I just think fire power is key and they have a lot of it. Teams will be frightened playing them again.

                              Now we're sounding like Everton
