He has been poor, even for a cheap squad option he hasn't worked. I suppose just add him to the long list of players that have crashed and burned at United in recent years. I think he was bought as cover and they've had to play him more than they thought as they've had injury in there. It just hasn't worked out.

I think he's a decent enough squad option yeah he has looked utterly disinterested & I'm surprised he has been this poor.

As said long before he went to the Mancs, I think the fact he has been bang average in Serie A for a number of seasons was a bigger indicator that the WC was just a blip in his form.

I think it was the AFCON prior that Diouf really came to prominence. He (Diouf) looked the absolute business to be fair and his performances in the 2002 WC reinforced what, at the time, seemed to be pretty solid business by us
