unclear what he expects to achieve by calling him out like that.

Seems weird if you are tying to offload the player too.

He doesn't seem to have much of a filter, does he.
        Oh I don't know.

What else does he have to lose with Rashford? Its not like hes helped matters by announcing he wants to leave. Sad case with Rashford, clearly more going on that we know. But its a real shame to see someone of his quality fall like that.

He might not want to put other clubs from signing him, for a start.

To be fair to Rashford he was dropped fully from even the match day squads for a number of games before he said he might have to go elsewhere to get game time.

Think his last start in the league was back in Novemeber and he got some minutes as a sub in the first week of December.

Right from when it was put into the media that Man U needed to sell for PSR reasons alongst two months, Rashford's minutes stopped altogether and he was getting left out of squads on a regular basis.

Since that short comment he made in December he has not said anything to the media or online regarding his situation whereas Amorin has mentioned Rashford a number of times to the media in that time.

From the outside it looks an attempt at constructive dismissal by the club and management.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Just checked- since Dec 22nd (last 9 games), Diallo is the only one of their forwards to score a goal. I wonder is Amorim being too stubborn. If he doesn’t like rashfords attitude then by all means move him on, either in Jan or the summer, but he may as well play him while he has him. Seems he’s cutting off his nose to spite his face.. It reminds me of the standoff between ten hag and Sancho, but this time there doesn’t seem to be any particular incident that sparked it.

By making comments like he did yesterday, all he’s doing is scaring away any already unlikely buyers. 350k per week is a big risk to take on a player- and then you have his current manager publicly saying that this guy has an attitude problem, who’d be stupid enough to take him. He’ll prob go on loan with United paying 80% of his salary

It's certainly an odd one, with wages of ~£350k a week I can't see clubs queuing up to take him certainly at a significant transfer fee (which has already been reduced by the fact they are saying they want rid). Not sure how much that will really help with PSR. You wouldn't imagine any of the clubs (in Europe) who could afford to pay a player £350k a week would want to, it feels like he would have to step down a level and Man Utd subsidise his wages, unless he moves to Saudi. Not sure it's a good situation for either the player or the club.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I presume he said it because there are no interested parties and it looks like he's staying. The message is to leave, via lowering wage demands, or sort himself out.

They were lucky yesterday. Massive fluke for the goal and it was realistically the only chance they made. Fulham were making all of the running but looked equally impotent.

Utd are good enough, or have enough good players, to put together the odd good performance but stylistically and squad wise they look a total mess still. Will take him years to fix it and that’s if he gets the time.

He comes across well in the media though, it’s been a while since they had someone like that. However half of the messaging reads like a cry for help

He can lower them but that still leaves Utd with a problem on the difference - They would have to pay the difference in the contract until his Utd contract ends - Anyone advising Rashford now is saying - Ball is in your court, not Utd's.

For me its a no way back - Rashford could bust a gut and still not get anywhere near the first team - A line has been drawn - I can't see a way of going back which ****s up their PSR even further as any sale of Rashford would not lead to a PSR profit as it would offset his contract, so any change would be minimal.

The way Rashford has been dealt with has been a disaster. The odd thing Arsenal or Spurs may well have had a punt on them but now it's more likely to be a Saudi move, if at all. It was always likely to be a loan move anyway given the wages but it's not likely they'll shift much of his wages now.

I reckon he will go to Arsenal on loan on deadline day

Don't think Spurs would or could afford this wages - But defo Arsenal
