The Europa League run has seemingly shielded him from criticism.

Loose that final and he'll need an exceptionally strong start to the league campaign next season

This has been an amazing 10 year period. From Moyes who had a PL winning team, to Jose and Ole who occasionally got them second place, to that Dutch manager and the Grandfather of Football who both had them in top 4, to the Tin Mug who loved 6th-8th place.

Their trajectory then continued more sharply to 16th place. I can't wait for their next manager in this journey.
      One tit for another.

Hey don't be getting rid of Amorim yet
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

But that's what we said about Ralf, Ole and Ten Haag. I'm getting greedy.

Or if they are getting rid of Amorim, at least wait till they've spunked 200m quid on his players that don't fit any other system

Any club that has as many losses as Utd and spurs should be sacked regardless of a cup win!

I can see Spurs sacking Ange won, lose or draw to be honest. 20 league defeats this season already.

Big Jim blew smoke up Rubens arse when interviewed by Gary Neville a few weeks ago and went on about how they were still paying for the mistakes of previous incumbents. The fact that they haven't won a league game since that interview might change things but I think they will give him until November at least.

****in hilarious though. They are so ****in ****. One or two players can change things drastically but they have been terrible in the transfer market as well.

They will need to get better players for their bench but I think they are about 7 or 8 players away from having a strong starting 11 as well!!!

I read somewhere that the most defeats a team that hasn't been relegated has suffered in the PL is 21, so Spurs could match or break that record. As bad as they have been I think sacking a Spurs manager if they win a trophy would be harsh given the frequency with which they pick up silverware.

17 defeats for Man Utd is hilarious, but if they make the CL by winning the Europa League a decent start to next season I think Amorim will be safe and this will be seen as something of a blip / ten Haag's fault / adaptation to new system or approach etc. If they make a poor start to the season I could see him being sacked by Christmas.

Weird one for SPurs fans if you asked them for a trophy and a CL quialification before the season statrs thats a major success. It just doesn;t look like that in reality and Ange has been found out as a **** tactician.

Rubn has an excuse that he diidn't even want the job till summer. I think he has a few more rungs to drop before he is sacked. Funny that the Wolves manager can have the same set up and get his players to change, United are a disgrace they remind me of our Spice Boys era and only turning up for the big games>......I wonder if they will come out in white suits for the final?

Most older Spurs fans would probably give a nut for 21 defeats and a piece of silverware. They desperately need something shiny like we desperately needed number 19 after 30 years.

How the guy is still getting a pass in the Media is, well, blowing my mind - ETH was hammered on this kind of performance.

Wind might blow in a different direction if he loses the Europa
I make no apologies, this is me

These stats are mind blowing. 0.96 PPG

He’s waaaay worse than ETH. If the win the Europa it papers over the cracks. Plus. As the article says how will they cope with the new CL format?

Their ability to get worse and worse is very enjoyable.

I don't think they will but if next season's promoted teams are stronger than this, Man Utd could be looking at a relegation scrap. What a lovely thought!

To be fair I think everyone had assumed CL qualification meant finishing in the top 4/5, I don't think many people had really contemplated a possible 17th place finish and CL qualification...
