That's how I see it to be honest, I think we just need to keep going and slowly the competition for the top 4 will thin out, the sooner we drop the likes of the Mancs, Spurs and Newcastle from the equation the better.

What about Everton? Aren't you worried about them? I keep thinking they'll drop off, but it hasn't happened yet.
I think they might draw this weekend, then if we beat them in the derby that would put us 6 points ahead of them. That would be the end of their top 4 challenge then.
Newcastle I'm not considering. Spurs I also wanted to write off, but they seem to keep picking up results. I'm still convinced the wheels will fall of there too, Sherwood looks about as intelligent as Paul Merson, so it surely can't last much longer.
Wildly optimistic this, but if we have a good run in these next 2 or 3 games we should be well and truly in the driving seat for a top 4 place.

I am, I picked Spurs over Everton to drop first and I think that's probably how it'll happen. Everton are real contenders for the top 4 position as are the other's at the moment until they're dropped a bit more.
I think if we can get 11 wins and say 2 draws (minimum) from the next 17 league games that will give us 77 points which should be more than enough for a top 4 finish.

Yeah that would leave Man United needing 41 points from 17 games, which is title winning form for the rest of the season. They're just not capable of that at the moment.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostI am, I picked Spurs over Everton to drop first and I think that's probably how it'll happen. 31 for me and I might be a little generous. That run though is just a piss take. We'll need to make sure we're well clear coming into the end of April.Originally posted by Chazza View PostThese are their remaining fixtures

Probably - the issue is we are used to them beating the fodder at home, where as now that is not so guaranteed. Which is great.Originally posted by rcasemore View Post
SO my prediction of 31 points might be generous as well
And hopefully Sunderland will beat them in the League Cup as well.

They have a nice easy last few games, with 2 of the last 3 at home, in a row!
Think we can only be safe in assuming that they will drop points in the following; and even then, think they'll beat Everton and likely snot lose to us
