No long term competition for that position. He definitely won't play as much if he ends up at Chelsea. The money helps as well obviously.Last edited by cannotmakeit; 23-04-14, 02:39 PM.

Probably he's thinking long term career, and willing to bank on UTD getting back to being one of the challengers.Originally posted by Bender View Postdoesn't make sense, why would shaw go to a club not in europe, without a manager etc etc....unless it's solely money based.
Which tbh, they will.

Chris Bascombe, amongst others,is questioning how LMA royalty Ferguson was completely excused by everyone concerned regarding his decision to meet and sound out then EFC manager Moyes without his club's permission or knowledge.I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

not really the lad is 18years old. Sign this deal, 24m quid in the bank and he could be 22, still very very young for a full back and he can go win trophies with a decent club.Originally posted by Bender View Postdoesn't make sense, why would shaw go to a club not in europe, without a manager etc etc....unless it's solely money based.
He could use Scum as his feeder club, realistically if he goes to Chelsea he would stagnate and not be a regular. Makes perfect sense go to a Europa league club, set yourself up for life, play regularly and then move to somewhere decent in a couple of years._____________________________________

Manchester United should appoint Rafa Benitez as David Moyes's successor, says Didi Hamann
Former Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann claims Rafa Benitez is the ideal candidate to replace David Moyes at Manchester United

Rafa Benitez would be the ideal manager to replace David Moyes at Manchester United, according to former Liverpool and Manchester City midfielder Didi Hamann.
Moyes was sacked on Tuesday morning, just nine months after his appointment, following an unsuccessful season in charge at Old Trafford.
The search is now on for a new manager, with Ryan Giggs stepping in as interim boss until the end of the current campaign.
Holland coach Louis van Gaal is the favourite to take up the role on a full-time basis, with Atletico Madrid's Diego Simeone and Real Madrid's Carlo Ancelotti also on the shortlist.
However, one man who has not been mentioned is Benitez and Hamann believes the Spaniard's experience in the Premier League and Europe means he is ideally suited.
"It is certainly a name they should consider," he said. "They need somebody with a track record who can work with the big players, who knows what is required to get in the Champions League and play a big role in it for years to come.
"Rafa Benitez is in Italy at Napoli but his family still lives in the North West and he has always made it clear that he would love to return to the Premier League at some stage.
"The way it is going at Liverpool, I don't think he will be there any time soon and he has been at Chelsea, so there are not too many clubs out there for him. I don't think Arsenal will suit him.
"He, and Manchester United, will be a very good match. He had a few run-ins with Fergie but he only pointed out a few facts, as he would say.
"If I was a United fan I would want somebody who gives us the best possible chance to get back in the Champions League."
Meanwhile, Eric Harrison, the former United youth team coach credited with developing the famous Class of '92, has told talkSPORT that Giggs has what it takes to manage the team permanently.
He said: "He is a legend at the club. He is up there with likes of Bobby Charlton and Denis Law. He is well respected with all the players and supporters and he will get the atmosphere better on the training ground and at Old Trafford.
"The players will go into training at Carrington relishing the sessions and they will be flying at Old Trafford.
"I used to call him a football nut because he took everything on board. He has got a chance [to be a top manager]."
