    *Except Michael, who died.

Anyone see the story about Marca photoshopping the images, to add more white shirts!

Apparently the attendance was pretty much equal of utd/madrid fans, but the red showed up more in the image, so Marca did the business. (maybe)

      EDIT:

They say they couldn't find the image on Marca's site, and looking at the pics posted above my post, the difference beween how much Red or White shows up in the image is very noticable, so could all have been innocent by Marca.

Yep, embarrassing from Marca, and more annoyingly the United fans are now making it seem like there was 109,000 Man United fans there

Lots of you guys live near, or in Manchester right? Because I dont have these conversations at all.

So Man Utd fans talking about how many were at a game is something that I wouldnt even think twice about.

You mean you know of a place on earth without thousands upon thousands of utd fans living there ?!

I find that very hard to believe, everyone knows that atleast 2/3 of every countries population is made up of utd fans!

Just out of interest how many fans watched us in that big stadium in Oz last year?

There are a few, but for some weird reason Colchester is a Liverpool town. You basically see Liverpool and West Ham shirts, and a small smattering of Man Utd.

Only know two tame Man Utd fan personally. But about 8 Liverpool fans.

If you know any or have to work with any United fans, them spouting **** is the reason winning this game is important and losing it would be irritating. Other than that yeah it means nothing and is just another warm up game.

In a way it might be better if they exceeded expectations during pre season as LVG may decide his squad is adequate/Glazers can siphon more of their bank roll off*

He's already said he may not need to buy players because of the way pre season has gone.

No idea how they'll perform in a real game, with the pressure of last seasons failure on them.

But one thing he's already done, imho, and admittedly only in freindlies, and with lots of help from the media! is bring the fear factor back as far as them playing sides they should beat, teams who last season went to OT fancying it.

I think they'll get good results in their first 'should win' games, and from then on it'll be how they do against their direct rivals with confidence restored.

But it would be seriously funny, hysterically so after all the hype, if they were to flop in their first games.

They still have the firepower to beat teams but they still look poor in midfield and absolute dog**** at the back

I think they will finish higher and I think it will be a big improvement on last season but they need more players both in midfield and at the back if they are to really be a force once again

I always judge United sides by how many players you would take off them and put in our own side

Outside of the front players and Luke Shaw I am not sure I'd be taking many of the others

That's a decent rule of thumb. I'd take their keeper and probably Mata but the rest I'm not really that fussed about.
