How worried should they be? I suggested a while back that if things spiralled downwards for them that they could easily find themselves on the brink of bankruptcy - how much nearer are they to that situation now?

I think it is not as exciting a prospect as it could be.
Revenue from last accounts was £360m and the previous 12 months cost them £71m to finance the debt. Interesting they have actually spent £680m over 9 years to reduce the debt by ~£130m.
Net profit after debt payments for 2012-13 was only £17. Buying Mata and not qualifying for CL could see them need to make some serious money. That could be a £30-£50m hit if you count prize, broadcast, and matchday revenues. Maybe half as much again if you count sponsorshipsFootball without Origi is nothing

They still have to attract the right players!Originally posted by vlahka View PostI'm getting a little scared what with De Boer's recent comments about being interested in an english team. While its glorious to see them being so ****, I doubt it'll last long. They can still get top coaches to come. Very different to us during the 90s when we had no one.Was muß, das muß.
