Moyes to be off work for the rest of the season for "personal reason"

I will say in response to Balague's blatant trolling that it is true that it is a poor United squad and a spending spree would likely improve them. However, Moyes has made it worse - they are certainly better player for player than either Spurs or Everton and shouldn't be scrapping with them in the mad scramble for 5th.

Also look at what happened to Spurs when they had money to spend (incidentally the impact of the loss of Bale there could offer an explanation for United giving Rooney the huge salary they appear to be doing).

As Moyes fight on, flaws in succession become clearer. Before he was hired,United board wanted no major squad changes http://apne.ws/1kgcb4F

Are they underperforming that much though?

I think they have a few very very good players, some average, some ****e and some who were once very, very good but declining rapidly.

I think player for player Spurs are better than them and the difference with Everton is marginal.

Their midfield and backline need a complete overhaul, so even though they've got quality players upfront, it isn't good enough. Moyes' job is even harder. If he's given time and money, he'll make them a solid outfit. Probably not good enough to win titles consistently, but probably better than what they're doing at the moment.
            Are we winning?

Tom Cleverley, the sort of midfielder apparently cherished in Spain

Where the hell are they getting these delusions from. Do they really think Xavi, Iniesta, Koke, Busquets and other members of La Masia and Madrid training camp sit down every week and wonder at Cleverley's intricate passing and midfield control

I hope they don't sack him as a direct result of the absolute pasting we're going to give them at OT. I'm not sure how I'd feel about that!

havent we already seen off two managers.

would be a terribly black day if we were to cost moysie his job. #moyesin

There's definitely the potential of a sting in the tail when we play them.

One thing their crowd will be up for it and surely that will fire them up to at least looking like they are bothered.

Saying that I will be disappointed if we don't beat them and that has to be a first.

Yes, I think they are. On paper their first choice and back up attacking lineup is one of the best in club football. They have some obvious weak links, especially at the back, but if anyone has proven that you can win things with an average team spearheaded by quality forwards than it's utd. With those players they should be scoring goals for fun.

If they don't win one of their next three games the win percentage under Moyes will be 20%

                              Surely that's just in 2014?

Their next games are going to be fascinating - West Brom away (who've drawn 1-1 at home with us, Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton), us at home, Olympiakos, then City at home.
