Pretty ****e that isn't it. Scudamore doesn't produce any facts or figures to back it up, just a vague "United struggling is bad for us". We've all long suspected they need a successful United, but still it's not good hearing him come out with that.

Well well well, Richard Scudamore comes out to say utd failing is bad for the premier league brand. Obviously with their worldwide appeal it will mean less interest if they are struggling, but should he come out and say this? It basically calls into scrunity the integrity of the game. If you have a massive brand and the biggest pulling point is doing **** you have a problem. To give utd a helping hand from time to time is in the leagues best interests. We've all suspected foul play at some stage but I really do believe the game is corrupt as ****. I don't think the premier league would allow utd to be **** for ten years. It would lose billions. I preferred it when the game was a sport.

                Ha

It's a strange statement tbh, even though it's something we've all suspected. It's the most exciting title race for years....and even when you take away United's global fanbase, it still leaves 'the rest' which is a huge number and a greater number than the United fans. Lots of people are enjoying their demise.

While we all know they want United to be successful, I'd like to see some stats to back it up.

This is the cunt who wants a 39th NFL style game abroad. Only good thing is what can even he and his bent pals do to stop utds demise?

Raymond's had another outburst about the incompetent dinosaur and 'tactical nitwit'

                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
Although in December the attention shifted from 'Man United case study' to 'Arsenal case study', the situation at United reaches it's climax
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
Typical for the conservative football world: a player from 1966 is protecting a coach from 1986. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26729956
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
Let’s not forget Fergie who is also responsible for appointment of these incompetent coaches. http://www.theguardian.com/football/...yes?CMP=twt_gu … pic.twitter.com/EAPy5dVVGI
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
Ultimately, ‘Bobby & Fergie’ are responsible for appointing a coach who is clearly not good enough. David Moyes did not appoint himself.
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
And players should understand that saying things they don’t mean will always backfire especially when you keep losing http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26569342
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
The only reason to give an incompetent manager more time is when he shows the potential to improve & to become (un)consciously competent.
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
But will a tactical nitwit become a tactical Einstein over time? Are there signs of tactical improvement this season? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...st-defeat.html
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
Will a coach modernize his pre-historic training methods in his 2nd year after making same mistakes already 10 times? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...Verheijen.html
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
The problem at United seems structural as the manager looks to have reached his ceiling. Consequently, his ceiling becomes United's ceiling.
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
Unintentionally & indirectly, at Everton Roberto Martinez is showing Moyes' ceiling & highlighting United’s problems. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...united-3288614
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
Of course, after the Olympiakos game the United fans were relieved & got new hope. But relieve & hope do not compensate for incompetence.
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
Everyone in football who has the analytical ability to think in processes already knew United’s problems would return within a few weeks.
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
Unfortunately, most people in football do not have the analytical ability to think in processes. They only 1-dimensionally think in results.
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
The deeper meaning of current tweets is to show football world how to analyse a process based on facts & patterns instead of subjectivity.
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
Structural success in football is outcome of a solid process. If a manager optimizes the process, the score will often take care of itself.
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
Therefore, structural problems like pre-historic training methods and a lack of tactical knowledge will not disappear after a RVP hattrick.
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
To solve a structural problem an incompetent manager has to look in mirror & take responsibility for things he sees http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...er-United.html
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
So, does the unconsciously incompetent Moyes have the ability to first become consciously incompetent & then (un)consciously competent?
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
Otherwise, the United board has no other option then to appoint a Martinez http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...s-Barkley.html … or a Rodgers http://www.theguardian.com/football/...r-league-title
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
Just imagine that United gives 150 million to spend this summer to a coach who keeps blaming external factors when he looks in the mirror.
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
Anyway, also in football, nature will eventually take care of the situation. In particular, in the upcoming CL games vs Bayern Munich.
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
The visit of Bayern Munich & Guardiola to Old Trafford will have the cosmic impact of an asteroid or comet, ending the reign of a dinosaur.
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
Btw, unconsciously competent people only focus on message. Unconsciously incompetent people are distracted by messenger & stay incompetent.
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
So, now the question is….are you able to control your thoughts and only focus on the objective facts & patterns….
                      Raymond Verheijen ‏@raymondverheije
….or are you someone who is not able to control his thoughts and is always distracted by the messenger so you miss the message?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Back to Scudamore you do wonder if any pressure was applied to refs over the years by the premier league to make sure United were looked after. I've always had my suspicions about it and comments like this are certainly not going to diminish them.

                            Agreed.

Unsurprisingly the questions this article pose seem to be getting ignored.
