I think there is a lot to be said for the idea that Moyes was setup in such a way he was bound to fail. I think his biggest mistake was clearing out staff rather than players.
People seem to forget how poor United seemed before Fergie tempted Scholes out of retirement.

Why would they want him fail? Look at the money the owners have lost. If it's anything along those lines I guess they wanted a "Wenger", CL every season without overspending.
A Pilot that's fly's for the firm that does the banners is on talk Spite now, he's just revealed that he will be flying ONE of the banners, apparently there is now another one that's been hired to fly over OT.
He won't let on who hired it or what's on it, was asked will it be like a pro and anti Moyes thing, but he would'nt say.
Oh god i hope it's one from LFC fans! rather than a pro Moyes one from utd fans.
The client for the second banner has asked that the company keep it secret till the fly over.
however my guess is it will be Paddy Power - they're the type of company that will jump all over this and it will be something like
"Moyes to be sacked 2/1" PP
I'd ****ing piss my pants if a second plane flew over with a banner by the Liverpool fans!
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.
Apologies for posting these utter cunts, but it's great to watch the wreckage burn. Perhaps they can expect a letter from 'Sir Stooge''s lawyer......
Red Issue @RedIssue
Since last Aug RI's position on Moyes is that he asked for 2 years to be judged and he should be entitled to it. That hasn't altered. Yet.
Red Issue @RedIssue
Where were all these howls of anguish when Glazer was raping the club between May '05 and Jan '10? Glazer out > Moyes out
Red Issue @RedIssue
Some people need to realise it's better to support losing club than to support a brand. Losing vs City < losing £1bn to Glazer #perspective
Red Issue @RedIssue
The first person who should be hounded out of MUFC is Glazer puppeteer who okayed ransacking of the club and recommended Moyes' appointment.
Red Issue @RedIssue
Absolutely NO protests of any note at OT between July 2005 and Jan 2010 cos Sir Stooge gave Glazer his backing. G&G started with bond issue.
Red Issue @RedIssue
If Sir Stooge and his Glazer chums hadnt run MUFC into the ground since 2005 then Moyes or no Moyes, the team wouldn't be in the state it is
Red Issue @RedIssue
Someone should ask Sir Stooge why he saw fit to not buy a midfielder for 6 years. Not cos he was on a cut of the Glazer profits, was it?
Legacy!? What Legacy!?
Years and long loooong ever so horribly loooooooong years of trophies and non stop titles, and it's taken less than one season for fans to be shouting abuse at the old manager that delivered all of it.
Well well well, Richard Scudamore comes out to say utd failing is bad for the premier league brand. Obviously with their worldwide appeal it will mean less interest if they are struggling, but should he come out and say this? It basically calls into scrunity the integrity of the game. If you have a massive brand and the biggest pulling point is doing **** you have a problem. To give utd a helping hand from time to time is in the leagues best interests. We've all suspected foul play at some stage but I really do believe the game is corrupt as ****. I don't think the premier league would allow utd to be **** for ten years. It would lose billions. I preferred it when the game was a sport.
well said, Bob.
mods, wasnt there a thread about FA and football corruption...
this will be a great post to bump that thread with
