****ing hell. What's ours? £20m/ season if we make the CL?
    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Is £70 mill enough to service their interest payments?

The deal is for 10 years, i.e £750m over the course of it. The analogy is akin to Roy Hodgson getting a 10 year deal at the same value.

Ours is £25m a season for six years but ours was signed a few years ago. Arsenal £30m for 5 years signed last season so they'll be sick. This deal blows all the other top clubs in England out of the water. Their commercial department is unbelievable. £125m a season from their kit and shirt sponsorships alone.

I wanted to laugh when Nike told them to get ****ed but I knew this was around the corner. Cunts.

I just fail to see how this is profitable for Adidas? I mean they have other sponsorship agreements, I wonder how much in total they are paying per year in such deals.

If they are paying it it's obviously worth it for them. Nike baulked at 60m but Under Armour and Warrior were still bidding so they must have been bidding higher than 60 which forced Adidas higher again.

They better put their hands deep in their pockets when ours is up for renewal!

adidas expect to make 1.5 billion from the deal.

Man Utd are the biggest club in the world as I understand it. Their reach goes to all corners. Doesn't really matter how successful they were last season. Give it 10 years of similar levels, then the deals will take a dive. But the fact remains they are hyper popular.

                          eh?

So they would sell 1.5 billion of merchandise they would not otherwise sell?

They mentioned that United had 659m supporters around the world in the official press release. They actually fell for that bull**** survey United had done a couple of years back!

Two or 3 top class players can be bought every year with thanks to kit and shirt deals alone. Whoever does their deals is unreal.
