Well, they're in 4th place with a realistic chance of Champions League qualification. They were pretty much out of that race February last year.

So the number of points they have is largely irrelevant. The context is all that should matter.
    Oh I don't know.

This. They are playing ****e football, have barely improved points wise but happen to be in the mix cos nobody else did any better and we did considerably worse.

I do t see them staying in the top four of things carry on as they are.

If things carry on as they are, then surely they'll stay in 4th place.

Chatting to a mate of mine and he seems fairly content with Utd at the moment. Grinding out results, and is confident the football will come eventually. His argument is that there is so much talent in the squad itll click eventually.

Speaking to a mate of mine on this he's genuinely worried he thinks the midfield is a mess and the defence is very poor with the likes of Rojo being vastly overpriced and not a lot better than they had previously.

One thing they have got is fire power but RVP is ageing, Rooney is 30 this year and Falcao is also 29, on loan and seemingly shot.

Even after all the money they've spent he's worried they've got to spend huge amounts again.

Rooney's probably their best striker and goalscorer. Yet is moved to midfield to 'accommodate' RvP and/or Falcao. Oh how we would rip Rodgers to shreds if he did that. In fact I've already ripped him to shreds over Gerrard and that was a lesser of the two evils.

dom9, if things stay the same Southampton will qualify for CL proper. None of us are envisioning that so why make a special case for Utd?

Er, if things stay the same, then Southampton will also qualify for CL.

Because things would have stayed the same.
                  Oh I don't know.

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce echoed Noble's view that the east Londoners were unfortunate not to win the game and appeared to take a slight dig at United's style of play.

"The lads are absolutely gutted in there and so they should be," he said.

"I think it was an absolutely fantastic performance and from the point of view of where we were just towards the end (of the match), I thought we were going to make sure we saw it through and unfortunately for us it was not to be."

Allardyce added: "I suppose in the end we couldn't cope with long-ball United. It was just, 'thump it forward and see what they could get' and in the end it paid off for them."

                    Fat Sam is a ****.

Yes ManU were hoofing it up chasing the equaliser for the last 15 minutes, but they also did ths many times in the fergie era. Infact most teams do this, when chasing a goal with time running out.

But why did the puppet never refer to them as 'long ball united' when fergie was in charge?

Still good material to wind they're dumb fans though!

I know, some of his choices are baffling, totally lovely and baffling, long may it continue!

Van Gaal/Allerdyce looks like Steve Bruce.

I can't take him seriously at all after that vine of him being excited at the lack of injuries.

Yeah that's my worry, i just hope LVG's belligerence can stave it off long enough for us to click and get past and ahead of the ****ers!
