He was a scouser though who supported the team as a kid. All indications are that De Gea wants to go to Madrid.

I suspect he will anyway, but why he wouldn't do a Steve Mcmanaman and just let his contract run down is a mystery to me.

Massive pay hike and a release clause to make sure he goes next season. They'll probably offer him similar to what he might have earned at Real, in the hope that as another season goes by, he'll change his mind and stay. Doubt he will.

Either way, expect a special feature, and probably an interview with him, in the buildup to the match on Saturday's program.....along with much eulogizing from whichever clowns are rolled out on the panel.
