Unless he's been an unused substitute in every match then that's an ok message for their club to put up, don't see how it can be classed as embarrassing at all? He didn't play in their last match ok, but he's still contributed throughout the qualifying campaign.

The phrasing is just awkward and makes it sound like that was the extent of his contribution. It would have been fine if they had said something like 'part of the Belgian side that beat Andorra'.
