If they wanted him he'd be there already. Absolutely no reason to wait until summer unless they want to see if any other options come up in which case he's not "100%" nailed on.

The 1/4 odds are for him to be the next manager not manager in the summer. In fairness the guy said his cousin works at the club and would know this + he is not a united fan.

I get the 25% return but to make it worth backing you'd need to stake a fair bit if money and what would happen if he was hit by a bus tomorrow - i'd lose my bet!

He's been unemployed and sitting on his ass for months and they've been **** even longer. If they want him as manager there's no reason it wouldn't have happened by now. He might end up there as a last resort but it seems pretty clear they are keeping their options open, unfortunately their options are pretty limited otherwise he'd have no chance. As mentioned above, Bobby Charlton doesn't like him and would be an issue for them hiring him. He's on record saying Jose wouldn't be a good fit for United.

I think the only reason lvg is still there is that he has the same clause in contract moyes had. They are waiting for champs league to be an impossible to gain and he is gone on the cheap.

Its old news that Utd aren't keen on Jose, thats Fergie,Charlton and Woodwood but unless Blanc goes, they may be forced down Jose's road.

Either way, its gonna cost them some ££££££

Yeh, reckon they are waiting for a clause to be actuvated or maybe hoping charlton pops off so they can get jose in without creating an apocalypse of biblical proportions.

Didn't Blanc recently extend his contract?
That rug really tied the room together.

Moyes had a 6 year contract ( remember that! ), they had to wait for the clause.

LVG only has a year and a bit left. It won't cost a lot to bullet him now if they wanted to. Being short of money is certainly not something you can label at Manchester United. As I say, they'll probably end up with Jose through lack of other options but I remain convinced if he was nailed on for the job it would have happened by now. Maybe Shrewsbury will force them down the road they don't want to go.
