Shocking but we still couldn't beat them on their own patch with our best team bar left back. I'm frustrated because I wanted to really rub it in and destroy the ****s with a record defeat. I'm merely satisfied.Originally posted by dom9 View PostTwo good players.
De Gea and Martial. I've not seen the latter before these two games but you can see that he's got something good.
The rest.

A bunch of grandads, under ability young kids, and a field microphone with tripodic elbows.

yeah forgot about Martial, he had Clyne on toast to be fair, and if I'm being generous the young fella up front looks like he has potential.
Bayern must have been laughing when they paid actual money for Scweinsteiger, a brilliant player in his day, but he looks shot now.
Even Juan Mata looks garbage these days.Modifying post.

You're going into the game two nil up before it starts.
Charging recklessly into them from the off, leaving us exposed probably wouldn't have been the best idea.
It's a unique situation.
One aspect I particularly enjoyed in the first half hour was the continual breaking up of the play. No rhythm. No tempo. Just bitty free kicks all over the place. It did the job. It frustrated them.
It's about the result. It worked.Oh I don't know.

Absolutely, I thought we handled the psychology of the game really well.Originally posted by dom9 View PostThink about it.

I'm not denying it's about the result. I just personally feel with our talent and their lack of it, it was an opportunity missed. Do exactly what we did but just be more clinical in the attacking area. It's where we fall down imo. Lazy sloppy final balls over and over or **** shooting.Originally posted by dom9 View PostThink about it.

We were easily best team over the legs. I'm happy. But I just wished for a bit of extra icing on the cake. It was there if we took care.
